Roseville, CA (Feb 23, 2011)
Always Best Care Senior Services, named by Entrepreneur magazine as the fastest growing Senior Care franchise system, today announced the company has awarded its fourth franchise in Connecticut and is now expanding into southwest Fairfield County, including greater Greenwich, Stamford, Darien and New Canaan.
Always Best Care of Southwest Connecticut is owned and operated by Stuart Wallenstein, who joined the Always Best Care team in late January, 2011. According to Mr. Wallenstein, he will feature Always Best Care’s non-medical in-home care and assisted living placement services.
“We are thrilled to have awarded our newest franchise to a person of Stuart Wallenstein’s character and capabilities,” said Michael Newman, founder and Chief Executive Officer of California-based Always Best Care. “I’m confident Mr. Wallenstein will be a valued addition to the Always Best Care team.”
Ken Beaudry, Area Representative for Always Best Care (headquartered in Glastonbury), added, “The addition of the Southwest Connecticut franchise to Always Best Care franchises serving Western Connecticut, Central Connecticut and Greater Bristol helps extend the reach of our services in providing non-medical in-home care, assisted living placement services and skilled home health care throughout the state, and we welcome the addition.”
Mr. Wallenstein was born and raised in the greater New York metropolitan area, and spent most of his career as a commodities trader. His interest and passion for senior care was fueled by life experiences caring for the needs of his own parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts as part of the “sandwich boomer” generation. (A “sandwich boomer” is most often defined as someone who is juggling care needs for an aging parent in addition to caring for their own children, and as such is “sandwiched” between two generations that need regular assistance and supervision. According to the Pew Research Center, one out of every 8 Americans (12.5%) between the ages of 40-60 are both raising a child and caring for a parent at the same time.)
Mr. Wallenstein expects to bring the attributes that made him successful in his corporate career – organization, persistence and ethics – plus those that have been a resource for his family (compassion and caring) to help him assist the people of his community.
